The 2018 Hess Mini Collection was a special limited-production set celebrating the 20th anniversary of the miniature toy truck series, which Hess introduced in 1998. This collection featured three highly detailed, small-scale versions of classic holiday Hess Toy Trucks: the 1970 mini Hess Fire Truck with working lights, a rotating chrome fire nozzle, fixed position reel and side mounted fire hoses. The 1977 mini Hess Fuel Oil Tanker, with ten free rolling wheels and 8 total lights. And the 1988 mini Hess Toy Truck and Racer: featuring a white articulated truck transporting the speedy pull-back motor (i.e. friction motor) racer.
